Welcome to the Thursday edition of our daily Virginia Trump campaign update! We will provide our readers with daily updates on the Trump Virginia campaign from today to November 3 (and after…if need be!).
It’s officially 40 days until the election on November 3 – and five days until President Trump and Joe Biden square off in the first presidential debate.
The President of the United States is coming to Virginia for a rally on September 25 at Newport News/Williamsburg International Airport.
Doors for the rally will open at 6:00 p.m. and the event begins at 9:00 p.m. John Fredericks, chairman of the Trump Virginia Delegation, will be the emcee.
Pamela Brown who is the secretary for the Norfolk Republican Party will attend her first ever Trump rally Friday. She said it’s clear that if the Trump campaign didn’t think Virginia was in play November 3, they wouldn’t have devoted the resources to come to the Commonwealth.
“I think it’s pretty clear that it indicates Virginia can be won by the president,” Brown said. She added that she’s looking forward to hearing President Trump speak on the economic comeback amid the pandemic.
The Biden-Harris campaign continues to overlook Virginia in the lead-up to the election. Brown said she has yet to see any signs or campaign volunteers out and about meeting with voters. The Trump Victory campaign believes the president has a golden opportunity to win Virginia, and that’s why he’s coming to the Commonwealth on Friday night.
“While President Trump heads to the Commonwealth to remind Virginians of his ‘Promises Made, Promises Kept’ agenda, Joe Biden can’t even come forward with a list of potential Supreme Court nominees or step foot in the Old Dominion,” Trump Victory Spokesperson Samantha Cotten said in a statement. “If you want to continue to put America First and complete the Great American Comeback, then your only option in November is President Trump and Vice President Pence.”
The Virginia Star will have full coverage of the rally and President Trump’s speech.
If you can’t make it to the rally in person, you will be able to watch online for free on Team Trump’s Facebook and Twitter accounts, on the Donald J. Trump Facebook, YouTube, and Twitch accounts, and at www.donaldjtrump.com/online.
